Sullivan County Seeks Public Input on Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan

Sullivan County is inviting residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the County’s draft Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP), now available for public comment through June 6, 2026.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan is designed to help Sullivan County prepare for and reduce the impacts of natural disasters and severe weather events, while improving long-term community resilience and emergency preparedness.

Community participation is an important part of the planning process, and county officials encourage residents to review the draft plan and complete the public feedback survey.

County officials say public input will help shape the final version of the plan and ensure it reflects local concerns, priorities, and experiences related to flooding, storms, infrastructure impacts, and other hazards affecting Sullivan County communities.

The public review period remains open through June 6, 2026.
