New Exhibit Opens at the Time and the Valleys Museum
Step back in time this summer with The Great Fear: Frontier Life in the American Revolution, a new immersive exhibit opening at the Time and the Valleys Museum in Grahamsville on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Created in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the exhibit explores life on the New York frontier during the Revolutionary War through engaging displays, hands-on activities, and recreated historical settings.
Visitors will experience the stories of Patriot settlers, British Loyalists, Native American communities, frontier forts, and significant local events such as the Battle of Chestnut Woods. The exhibit features a recreated Lenape wigwam, settler cabin, interactive games, historical artifacts, and immersive sights and sounds that bring the past to life.
To celebrate opening weekend on July 4 & 5, visitors will enjoy light refreshments with admission and receive 10% off purchases in the museum gift shop. The museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4:00 p.m. through the end of September, with group tours available by appointment.
