The Grahamsville Fire Dept. will host the 97th Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Parade on Sept. 12, 2026. The parade will step off at 1PM, with line-up starting at Noon.
Grand Marshal will be John Hauschild, Sullivan County Fire Coordinator (53-1). Division Marshals are active Past Presidents of the Grahamsville Fire Dept: Joseph Pond, Joseph Barkley and Charles Barnard. The parade will honor the 250th anniversary of the United States and commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
Line-up will be on Route 42 from Little Hollow Rd to the Route 42 Park. Route 42 and Big Hollow Rd (from Rt. 42 to Little Hollow intersection) will be closed to traffic starting at 9:30AM until the parade passes. The detour for this section will be Hall Road to Big Hollow Road to Little Hollow Road. Route 55 will be closed from the intersection of Rte 42 and Rte 55 to the Fairgrounds starting at 1PM until the parade passes.
The parade ends at the Fairgrounds where there will be post parade activities.
These will include bounce houses, fire department tug of war competition, award ceremony, food and beverages. All are welcome to come out and support the firefighters, EMS, color guards and bands. The post parade activities are open to the public.
